About Objects That Are Letters

Genuine mail art, posted without an outer envelope wherever the postal service permits it. Subscribers have received a wooden spoon with an address written on the handle, a stamped and franked house brick (once, and never again), a jigsaw arriving one piece per week, and a great many things that are technically letters and technically not. Every item is legally postable and has actually travelled through the German postal system with the address on its surface.

Deutsche Post and I have reached an understanding

After the brick, my local branch has asked that I bring anything over 500g to the counter rather than the box. This is fair.

The understanding is that I may continue, provided nothing is sharp, nothing is wet, and nothing is a brick. I have agreed to two of these three.
